Clemens Hofer Trio

Interesting combination of Trombone, Guitar and Drums oscillating between modern and more classic jazz functions. Clemens Hofer has a beautiful approach and knowledge of the instrument. Great sound and phrasing, particularly while doing melodies. I like very much the humility of the project too, one direction developped, taken into further areas, compact and detailed, focused. Guitar and drums are very fine though a little short from time to time and I wonder how Hofer would play with more experienced players pushing more limits and pulses.
